IT Home reported on February 5 that TechInsights released a report today.In the fourth quarter of 2024, global smartphone shipments increased by 2.6% year-on-year to 325.3 million, maintaining a recovery trend for five consecutive quarters.. However, growth has slowed to low single digits for two consecutive quarters. Global smartphone wholesale revenue reached US$120 billion (IT Home Notes: Currently approximately RMB 872.823 billion), an increase of 0.8% year-on-year. The average wholesale selling price of smartphones (ASP) fell 1.7% year-on-year to US$369 (currently approximately RMB 2,684).
In 2024, global smartphone shipments increased by 5.7% year-on-year to 1.2178 billion unitsSmartphone wholesale revenue increased by 2.6% year-on-year to US$408 billion (currently approximately RMB 2.97 trillion). Smartphone wholesale ASP fell 3.0% year-on-year, slightly down to US$335 (currently approximately RMB 2437).
The report said that Africa’s Middle East, Central Latin America and Asia-Pacific region have achieved solid results, leading the market’s recovery to a large extent. In contrast, Central and Eastern Europe has shown a downward trend due to geopolitical tensions. In the quarter, North America and Western Europe saw single-digit declines due to extended changeover cycles.

Samsung ranks second with a market share of 16%.
Xiaomi, Transsion and vivo occupy the rest of the top five seats.
Then came OPPO (OnePlus), Honor, Lenovo-Motorola, Huawei and realme.
Among the top ten manufacturers,Only Samsung and Transsion show a downward trendthe other eight manufacturers achieved annual growth.
