xenluo reported on December 5 that the Chinese version of Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will receive a major version update of One UI 6.0 today. The installation package size is about 1753.70 MB.
The main updates compiled by xenluo are as follows:
Explore new watch faces
Express your style with new premium watch faces. The “Three Digits” dial offers an analog clock above large, eye-catching numerals. The “Simple Digital” watch face is suitable for users who like minimalist design. “Super Dashboard” gives you quick access to workout information. You can find these watch faces in the new Featured Watch Faces section of the Samsung Smart Wear app, or browse watch faces by keyword, including color, style, and complications.
One Ul visual enhancement
Watch components such as buttons and toggles have been redesigned to be more consistent with One U components on Galaxy phones. Additionally, you get new default fonts that are more stylish and modern. If you selected the default font in Settings, you will be able to see the new font. If you use a different font, you will still see it after upgrading to the One Ul6 watch.
Enhanced card graphics
Each card’s splash screen has been redesigned to give it stunning visuals and a more consistent overall feel.
Monitor your energy levels with Galaxy AI
Samsung Health’s new Al-Driven Energy Score feature shows your physical and mental health based on your sleep and physical activity. If your energy score is low it may be best to take a break. If your energy score is high, it might be time to set a personal best in your favorite sport. Galaxy AI provides personalized health analysis and motivation to help you stay on track.
Get more detailed sleep analysis
New sleep health analysis gives you a more detailed and accurate analysis of your sleep quality. Your comprehensive sleep report now includes your heart rate, breathing rate, and how long it takes you to fall asleep after lying down. You can wear the watch at night to get new sleep information.
Create your own exercise routine
You can combine a range of different exercises together to customize a workout routine and set goals for sets, reps, time, and more. Once you start a workout routine, the watch automatically switches to the next sport once you reach your goal. You can choose to add rest periods between exercises. Once you’ve completed your daily routine, you can view the results of your entire routine in one place.
Do more with a couple of pinches
Pinch your thumb and index finger together twice to perform quick operations without touching the screen. Answer calls, turn off alarms, scroll through notifications, control music, take photos, and more with one hand. When space is available, a finger icon will appear on the button and you can control the button with just a double pinch.
Quickly scroll through notifications and cards
Swipe left or right quickly on the watch face to scroll through multiple notifications or cards at the same time. Swipe speed determines how many notifications or cards you can scroll through.
View all ongoing activities at once
Touch the bottom of the watch face to see a list of ongoing activities, such as calls, exercise, or playing music. Simply tap any item in the list to easily switch to another activity.
Use universal gestures for convenient one-handed operation
Universal gestures now make it easier to use your watch without touching the screen. New gestures make it easy to return to the previous screen, and universal gestures can be used immediately when a call comes in or an alarm goes off, without any additional action.
Show weather information that’s important to you
You can now edit your weather cards to display the weather information you care about most. You can choose from daily forecasts, hourly forecasts, precipitation amounts, sunrise and sunset times, weather insights, and more.
Display 2 world clocks simultaneously
Customize your world clock card to display the time in two different cities simultaneously for quick viewing of time differences.
Control notifications without opening your phone
Choose which watch apps are allowed to send you notifications directly on your watch, without having to open the Samsung Smart Wear app on your phone.
Automate your watch with patterns
The modes you set on your phone (like Sleep, Sport, or Theater) can now automatically control more of your watch’s settings based on what you’re doing or where you are. In addition to the watch face and “Do Not Disturb”, you can now control “Screen Off Reminder”, “Raise Wrist to Wake”, “Touch Screen to Wake”, “Turn Bezel to Wake”, “Sound Mode” and “Disconnect Reminder” etc. mode. Available for phones running One Ul 6.1.1 or higher.
Reply quickly using your favorite emojis
You can set your most used emojis as favorites so you can send them as a quick reply at any time.
Manage calendar events directly from your watch
You can quickly add or edit events directly on your watch without using your phone. The calendar weekly view has also been updated to show how many events there are each day.
Longer battery life
When power saving mode is turned on, you can also choose to limit health functions (such as automatic fitness detection and background heart rate measurement) to ensure battery life lasts longer than ever.
Automatically turns on when charging
After charging, you can use the watch immediately without turning it on. To use this feature, please turn on[Auto Power On]in[Settings].
Automatically connect Bluetooth audio devices
When you start playing music on your watch, if your Bluetooth headphones or speakers are paired with your watch or phone, they will automatically connect and play. If there is no paired Bluetooth audio device to connect to, music will play through the watch’s speakers, if your music app supports this feature.
